A: Most items are in stock and will ship out within 24-48 hours. If items are not in stock it will fall into "Back Order" status.

Q: Is there any special care for Spal Shieldonce it is installed?
A: Once installed, refrain from washing the vehicle for at least 48 hours. We suggest you keep the vehicle in the sun to help cure and dry the protective film. Washing after that time presents no problem, but be careful if using a pressure washer along leading edges of film. When waxing the vehicle, some wax may build up along the film edges. This wax build up can easily be removed with a soft toothbrush.
Q: Will Spal Shield ever turn yellow?
A: Spal Shield resists yellowing because the film is constructed of thermoplastic urethane, a tough, conformable material that is covered by a clear coat layer. The film contains UV protection to counteract harmful ultraviolet rays that can cause yellowing.
Q: Can anyone properly install a Spal Shield kit?
A: There are precise conditions and specific techniqes for applying the film. To insure the best results and guarantee your warranty, Spal Shield should be applied by a professional Spal Shield technician.
Q: How long will the installation take to complete?
A: Most installations take between four to six hours in duration.
Q: Will it really stop rocks from chipping the car?
A: Yes. The material was originally designed to stop chips on rotor blades and airplane propellers. It is much easier for the product to protect your vehicle's paint than a propeller moving at nearly the speed of sound.
Q: Can I see a line where the film stops?
A: A slight line is barely visible at certain angles where the film stops. The alternatives are stone chips or an unattractive black vinyl bra. Another solution is Full Hood and Fender protection. No Lines! Contact us how we can do that.
Q: Will this product damage my paint?
A: No, of course not! This product is designed to help protect your paint, not damage it!
Q: How long should I wait to apply your product if my car has been repainted?
A: You will need to talk to your body shop and see what they recommend. The time will vary depending on the type of paint the body shop used, and whether or not the paint was baked. In any case, the time that they say you should wait to wax the paint, is the same time you will need to wait to install our product.
Q: Is the product removable?
A: Yes. The film is designed as a semi-permanent application, but can easily be removed if desired from any OEM painted surface. For removal of the film, simply heat the surface to approximately 150°F and begin by working a corner of the film with your fingernail. After you have enough film to hold onto, pull the film slowly away from the surface. If any adhesive remains, simply use any adhesive cleaner that is safe for the surface and wipe clean with a soft cloth. If any sections are known to have been repainted, extreme caution should be taken on those areas during removal.
Q: What if the vehicle is in an accident and a covered area is damaged?
A: The Limited Liability Warranty does not cover any auto accidents. However, the customer may have Spal Shield reapplied for a fee to the affected area once vehicle has been repaired.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: All kits are custom made upon ordering. Therefore return orders may be subject to 25% restocking fee. Returned kits must be in clean, unused, original condition, packed in the original packaging, and received by TLS Performance Products/ Spal Shield within 30 days of receipt of merchandise. No return will be accepted without proof of purchase of date of sale. No COD or shipping charge refunds accepted. Customer must contact us prior to shipping to obtain a return authorization code.
